Volunteer Foster Agreement

I have reviewed and signed theConfidentiality Agreement HERE

I agree that my services as a Foster for BFCACT are provided on a strictly volunteer basis.

I agree I shall receive no pay or compensation of any kind from BFCACT for my foster care. BFCACT will pay for needed vaccinations, spay/neuter and other necessary approved vet care for the Foster as outlined in the Foster Guide.

I agree to provide foster care in strict compliance with the BFCACT policies and Foster Procedures which will be provided when you become a Foster.

I agree to provide adequate food, water, shelter, safe containment and humane treatment at all times.

I agree to monitor the Foster Bichon and provide proper care and socialization to increase their possibility for adoption

I agree to send weekly reports to the BFCACT Board of Directors advising on the progress of the Foster Bichon per the Foster Guide

I agree to immediately notify the BFCACT Board of Directors of any major change in the Foster Bichon's health or in the case of a lost Foster Bichon.

I agree to represent myself professionally in dealings with veterinarians and their staff, shelters, and potential adopters.

I agree BFCACT reserves the right to determine the proper course of action to take upon notification by the Foster of any inability to comply with this agreement.

I agree the Fostered Bichon is the exclusive property of BFCACT and this foster agreement transfers no ownership rights.

I agree to respect the decision of BFCACT to determine whether a Foster can adopt a Foster Bichon.

I agree that the ultimate disposition of any Fostered Bichon is the sole discretion of BFCACT.

I agree to keep current vaccinations for my own animals against the following diseases while fostering: Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, and Rabies. I agree that all my animals are free of parasites.

I understand that any breach of the conditions of this Foster Agreement may result in immediate termination of this Agreement and in that case BFCACT shall take immediate possession of the Fostered Bichon.

INDEMNITY

I agree to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless BFCACT including its Directors and Volunteers, for any and all personal injuries or damages to property or pets caused by the Fostered Bichon.

I recognize that in handling Fostered Bichons there exists a risk of injury including physical harm caused by the Fostered Bichon. On behalf of myself, my heirs, personal representatives, and executors, I release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless BFCACT, its Directors and Volunteers from all claims, causes of action or demands, or any nature of cause connected with my Foster Agreement. I have received, read, and understand the Foster Care Instructions.
